Kelsey's Anytime Fudge creator, Kelsey Barkan, says she got the 'chocolate gene' from her great-grandmother who was from Belgium. Kelsey used to make fudge for co-workers in the food service industry and one day realized she was giving away over 80 pounds of homemade candy a year, just as gifts! At the urging of friends and family, she entered her fudge at the Ventura County Fair in 2008 -- and won first prize!!

After retiring in 2009, Kelsey put her dream of a fudge shop into action, making a deal with Scooter's Bar-B-Que to use its kitchen during off hours, and Kelsey's Anytime Fudge was born.
